“आँचल“ This project explores the dupatta knot and the repeated actions of women, revealing how an ordinary act can hold memory, protection, hidden labour, and hidden beauty. The knot is a vessel for keys and coins, but also for care, routine, and the quiet work of daily life. the work uses blind embossing to create subtle traces rather than loud images, turning a domestic knot into a "sculpture of tension." The work celebrates mundane acts, focusing on the fabric’s stains of turmeric and worn-out patches. Through repetition, the routine transforms into a declaration: "I am the memory, I am the you, I am the culture, I am the labour." The embossed prints reflect on inherited domestic labour, blurring the lines between memory, imagination, and lived experience.
