"Govardhan Dhari"

This work is a contemporary interpretation of the divine Leela, capturing Lord Krishna in his iconic form as the protector of his people. The composition utilizes a rich, heavy-textured background— characteristic of my engagement with diverse artistic mediums—to create a sense of ancient history and permanence. The central figure of Krishna is depicted with a serene elegance, balancing the weight of the Goverdhan hill with a single finger while maintaining a divine stillness. Surrounding the deity are repeating motifs of faces and cattle, symbolizing the collective faith and the deep connection between the divine and the natural world. By integrating traditional scripts and cultural elements into a modern expressive layout, the painting explores themes of shelter, devotion, and the timeless nature of spiritual guardianship.
